Telemedicine in Covid 19: Applications and Challenges

Corona outbreak has become a severe threat to individuals' physical and mental health and the economic downturn. Advances in technology, with the enrichment of information and services in the clinical field, lead to corona crisis management organizational at the level of welfare and health of individuals. This study aims to review the challenges and applications of telemedicine in the time of Covid 19.Materials: This systematic review searches the databases of Web of sciences, Scopus, PubMed, SID, Magiran for the last 10 years with a focus on the recent year with the keywords Informatics, Telehealth, Covid 19, Corona, Telemedicine. It was performed without any restrictions on the type of study. Finally, after removing duplicate articles, articles that only had abstracts, and articles that did not fit the study's purpose, this study was performed.Results: 15 studies show the development of therapeutic informatics in Covid 19. As one of the branches of e-health science, with the initial screening of corona patients and other patients, telemedicine reduces the accumulation of suspicious people in health centers, thus reducing the virus's spread and increasing the quality of care. Reducing the patient's stress and anxiety and making the treatment staff more familiar with the individual's living environment will better understand the patient's history. Challenges such as lack of internet in some parts of the country, lack of image clarity, sound quality, lack of adequate equipment for remote diagnosis and examination, diminished patient privacy and lack of government insurance support, telemedicine, and limited public trust in this method. Is.Conclusion: Despite the importance of distance medicine in Covid 19 in all countries, our country is faced with less technical support. We hope that planners will consider telemedicine to reduce patients and improve educational opportunities and solve internet problems. It is also recommended to hold webinars to increase public awareness and advance information technology in the treatment path.
