Assessment of non structural components on dynamic parameters of pipe racks

Frequent earthquakes in Iran make infrastructures vulnerable sothat engineers are obliged to have comprehensive knowledge in thedynamic of structures. In spite of substantial progress in recent guidelines,there are uncertainties around modelling and analysing of pipe racks.Here four pipe racks were analyzed while carrying conventional layoutof pipes(WP1). This approach was compared to commercial procedureof design and analysis(WOP2).Therefore, the parameters including,period, drift and D=C ratio showed considerable changes which necessitatethe structural calculation for both WP and WOP states.
