چکیده مقاله:

Inequality in income distribution leads to poverty, Gini coefficient is one of the most widely used indicators to measure the level of inequality. The numerical value of this index is between 0 and 1, values close to zero indicate a more equal distribution of expenditures or income, and values close to one indicate an unequal distribution of income or expenditures. The aim of this study was to measure the effects rising prices (inflation) on the level of inequality in rural areas of Iran using the household expenditure data of the Statistics Center of Iran between 2006 and 2016. In order to conduct this research, 4 scenarios of increasing general level of prices 10, 20, 30 and 40% were designed. The modeling results showed that in scenarios of increasing the general level of prices, especially at levels equal to the current level of inflation in rural areas (above 20%) The level of inequality is rising sharply.
