Catalytic properties of a HZSM-5/HMS catalyst for various reactions: A comparison study

HZSM-5/HMS composite materials are shown to be useful as supports of catalysts and as good solid acid catalysts,selective and stable catalysts. High catalytic activities, selectivities and stabilities of these materials and metals (Pt andNi) supported on these materials are demonstrated for various reactions given in the following contents. In the presentwork, the performance of these catalysts for three normal isomerization reactions of n-heptane, benzene hydrogenationand toluene oxidation was investigated at 200 oC. Conversion, selectivity, yield reaction and stability of catalysts wereinvestigated during these reactions. The results show better performance of this catalyst in the isomerization reaction.
