The Effect of Environmental Graphic Elements on the Interior Architecture

Human beings interact with their surroundings through interior design. Interior design plays an important role in creating a pleasant and enjoyable environment for the community. A proper environment is a place in which human beings can grow and flourish without undue psychological pressure, which is one of the rational demands of any society. The purpose of this research, is to investigate the effect of environmental graphic elements on the interior architecture. Considering that the research method is generally qualitative. First, we examine the views of different theorists then we analyze the ten interior spaces with different functions and their results are presented in the form of a table and a diagram. According to the results, in the present article, graphic design has an effective role on the specification and the identification of the items in the place. It causes that interior spaces transform into places which carry a message. In conclusion a place, which is a product of interior architecture, carries an aesthetical and conceptual message with the graphic design; this concept leads to the discipline that can be named as environmental graphic design.
