چکیده مقاله:
The present study aimed to explore levels of intrapreneurial intention among employees of Iranian research and development (R&D) centers by focusing on the roles of their age and gender. The researchers conducted a cross-sectional survey to investigate employees working in the Iranian R&D operating under the Iranian Society of the Centers for Research & Development of Mines & Industries (IRANRD). The sample was drawn using the random sampling method and, ultimately, 380 valid questionnaires were responded to and collected from different industrial R&D centers.Findings of the study show a statistically significant difference in men and women s intrapreneurial intention, with men enjoying higher levels of the intention than women. Additionally, employee’s age has been reported to be a determining factor in people s orientation towards intrapreneurship, and there is a statistically significant difference among the employees regarding their age, with 20-30 and 30-40 age groups more oriented towards intrapreneurship.The present research is among the few studies on intrapreneurial intention focusing effect of age and gender, which took place in the Iranian research and development sector.
