چکیده مقاله:

In this study, an investigation is performed to analyze the free vibration of carbon nanotube reinforced composite (CNTRC) cylindrical panels with cut-out. Distribution of single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) as the reinforcements in the matrix of the panel may be uniform (UD) or functionally graded (FG). Properties of the composite media are obtained according to a refined rule of mixtures approach. First order shear deformation shell theory and Donnell-type of kinematic assumptions are used as the basic assumptions. A Ritz solution method which Chebyshev basis polynomials is developed to accurate estimation of frequencies of the panels with arbitrary edge supports. The obtained frequencies are validated with the simple cases such as CNTRC plates with cut-out and CNTRC panels without cut-out. Numerical examples cover the influences of volume fraction of CNTs, graded pattern of CNT, boundary conditions, panel geometry and the hole size. It is shown that, as the volume fraction of CNT increases, frequency of the panel enhances. Also, FG-X pattern of CNT results in the maximum frequency of the panel and FG-O pattern results in the minimum frequency.
