چکیده مقاله:
Nowadays, human specific attention to the ornamental fish production hasmade a special place of this industry among hobbyist and even public. Highquality production of ornamental fish requires use of suitable feeds. Researchhas shown that live foods have lower price and more reasonable thancommercial food. A variety of live foods is used for larvae and adult fishnutrition; among this nauplius artemia has great advantageous. In the presentstudy, 60 guppy fish (Poecilia reticulate; 30 adult and 30 larvae) in threereplicate were fed by nauplius artemia. Food consumption of each treatmentwas equal. Fish bioassays were performed every 4 days. Growth parametersand feeding behaviours of fish were assessed after 24 days feeding trial. Datawere analyzed using Excel and Past softwares. Results showed that naupliusartemia had significant effect on larvae growth. Adult fish consumed morefood than larvae stage; therefore it can be said that adults reach satiationposterior than larvae and also, nauplii artemia was not suitable for the growthand survival of adult guppies. Based on previous studies, adult artemia incomparison to nauplius have more protein contents; therefore it is better to useadult artemia with other dietary supplements alternatively. This can minimizethe fish production costs and finally, adult fish will rich of protein contents.
