چکیده مقاله:
Temperature is one of effective factor in the reproduction of fishesThis study wascarried out to study the effect of environmental temperature on some reproductivecharacteristics of Tiger Barb fish (Puntius tetrazona) including eggs developmentand fecundity. For this propose three temperature treatments including 18°C as thelowest optimum temperature for growth, 28°C as the maximum temperature forgrowth and reproduction of this fish, and a variable temperature that started with18°C and ended with 28°C were reared for six weeks.The mechanism of temperatureincreasing was gradual with the rate of 2°C per week during the experiment period.Physicochemical parameters of water including PH, total hardness and dissolvedoxygen kept constant during this experiment. After the experimental period,specimens were anesthetized and killed, and their eggs diameter and fecundity wasrecorded. The results showed a significant difference between treatments in terms ofthe studied biological (P<0.05). According to the results, the highest growth rates ofeggs observed at 28°C treatment.
