چکیده مقاله:

The aim of the seismic hazard analysis is the prediction of the potential of ground motion during the upcoming earthquakes. The attenuation relationships also referred to as ground motion prediction equations are essential in estimating the ground motion parameters. The present study evaluates the sensitivity of seismic hazard analysis by selecting different empirical attenuation relationship. A number of spectral attenuation relations for crustal earthquakes were used in the Khorasan region as a case study. The studied area is a 150 km radius of Kashmar, which has experienced devasting earthquakes regularly in history. Here we present the results for maximum ground acceleration at ground surface with respect to the 475 return period in the probabilistic analysis of seismic hazard. The results show that the sensitivity to the attenuation relations is low and negligible.
