Enterprise resource planning system (ERP): the readiness of the manufacturing organizations

Resource management in any organization is considered as one of the most important factors of theobjective development that can direct the organization’s planning and increases the speed of meetingorganizational objectives. According, in this study, the readiness of enterprise resource planning systems(ERP) in manufacturing organizations is been evaluated. The statistical population of the study includedall managers of active manufacturing organizations in the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone ofmineral and metal industries in southern Iran. Because of the limited population size, the census methodwas conducted. Results showed that physical technologies index has the most readiness in manufacturingorganizations for planning.
