چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Accidents are one of the most important health problems in different societies and burns are the most common. Burns disturb the balance of water and electrolytes and liquids, and in the event of infection, threaten the major problem of the patient’s life. Various studies have shown that careful wound care can reduce the rate of infection. A 76-year-old woman with a known case of diabetes and heart disease who suffered from burns to her left hand and leg during a tomato paste two weeks ago. It is recommended that the patient be admitted to the hospital for debridement and skin graft at the doctor s visit at home, the patient did not consent to this. The patient arbitrarily attempted a simple burn dressing with mupirocin and vitamin A+D ointment and Nitrofurazone ointment but no improvement was achievedMethods : The patient has a burn wound in the left hand and foot area, which, according to Rule 9, is 9% for the left hand burn and 1% for the left foot, which is grade 3. According to the Wound Counseling, the Wound Experts recommended a new dressing for the patient, and a new dressing treated with x-gel and foam mepilex Ag There were 8 sessions during which the dressing was changed every three days Results : Finally, the wound healed after 24 days of epithelialization Conclusion : The patient was followed for 3 weeks after discontinuation of treatment and no infection was observed
