Note: Nanotransistors are made of nanowires (NWs)   , which allows transistors to be shrunk to the nanoscale.  But going down to the nanoscale can actually make the nanotransistor work harder.

The most popular semiconductor material for making nano-FETs is nanowires (NWs). Nanowires ( NWs) alone cannot control the movement of electrons, so impurities must be added in a process called doping, typically with boron, phosphorus, selenium, or germanium.  When a nanowire is doped, the movement of electrons can also be switched on and off,   allowing   electron flow, or   off (stopping electron flow), by applying a voltage   across the nanowires (NWs)  .

These Nano FETs are made up of several main parts: gate, source, channel, drain, and body.  The body is typically made of semiconductor materials such as nanowires (NWs) to facilitate the flow of electrons.  Electrons flow through the channel into the drain, which is controlled by the gate.  By applying a voltage, we can block the channel and allow the flow of electrons   into the Nano FETs (NWs) by the nanowires (NWs).  Turn it on  and   off .

Conclusion :
Nanotransistors are made of nanowires (NWs)   , which allows transistors to be shrunk to the nanoscale.  But going down to the nanoscale can actually make the nanotransistor work harder.
