چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Men have less life expectancy than women around the world. In most countries and institutions of global health, health promotion policies are primarily or exclusively focused on health services for women or children, and men s health.-sensitive approaches are ignored. Methods : A review study was carried out to find documentation related to the topic of searching in databases such as: PubMed ,Scopus, Science Direct, ISI, Web of Science Search, Magiran, SID, in both Persian and English, and related articles reviewed And evaluated. Results : Effective strategies to address men s health issues require a comprehensive understanding of men s health needs, including the social and cultural structures and men s health- seeking behaviors. Social structures that adversely affect men s health include poor social economic status, neglect of men s stress, risky jobs, unemployment, high men s working hours, low income, lack of men s health information, lack of confidential information, poor social support, inadequate health care for men, lack of social networks to support men s health, and lack of opportunity to talk about health problems and stressful life events. Men s health is now a global issue, and the importance of men s health must be properly emphasized in each country s health policies and programs as a social determinant of health. Gender inequality in men s health needs to be addressed in a holistic approach, and as a challenge, men s health should be addressed in the context of national and global health care programs. Conclusion : It is time for health care stakeholders to recognize the importance of men s health, and as much as they focus on maternal and child health, try to fill men s health gaps that can ultimately benefit men, women and their children.
