Synthesis of alkyl 3-((Z or E)-(alkoxycarbonyl) vinyl) benzo[d]thiazol-2(3H)-ylidenecarbamate derivatives via a novel three componentreaction

The three component condensation reactions involving 2-chlorobenzothiazole with methylcarbamate or ethylcarbamate in the presence of acetylenic esters led to a novel and one- pot synthesis of alkyl 3-((Z or E)-(alkoxycarbonyl) vinyl) benzo[d]thiazol-2(3H)- ylidene carbamate derivatives in good yields. These novel series of compounds were synthesised in dichloromethan as solvent without using any catalyst and characterized by IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, elemental and mass spectral analyses.
