Quality improvement of Isfahan urban landscape - Case study:Chahar Bagh Street

The lack of quality urban spaces detracts from the necessary social interactions and active and passive activities of the people and virtually ignores one of their most important needs. The continuation of urban areas requires appropriate measures to identify and enhance the quality of urban landscapes, leading to the continuation of the region s culture. The main purpose of this paper is to examine the quality criteria in the design of urban spaces and to create identities for the creation of quality places that lead to sustainability. Hence, by designing the main urban axes that play a major role in the visual, physical, effective criteria and indicators are identified to enhance the quality of the visual values of public spaces.
