چکیده مقاله:

Objective: High altitudes training are a challenge for human physiology and for sports enthusiasts. Several reasons lead to deterioration in performance at high altitudes. Hypoxia owing to high altitude causes a breakdown of homeostasis with imbalance in immune system. The function of the immune system depends in large part on Interleukins (ILs). The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of physical activity in hypoxia on Cytokines, IL-1 and IL-15 in serum of human being.Materials and methods: Thirty six young physical active men with mean age of 18 to 23 years old, 67.19 ± 5.21 kg weight and 1.76 ± 1.51 cm height were assigned to 3 groups: HIIT (n=12), Altitudes Training Mask (ATM), simulated 2600 m height, (n=12), and control (n=12). Both HIIT and ATM groups performed 8 weeks of HIIT (three sessions per week), the training protocol consisted of 10-min warm up, 60 minutes weight lifting training (3 station circuit workout, 80- 85% of One –Repetition Maximum (1RM) ) and 10-min cool down. Blood samples were collected before and after HIIT training. Body Mass Index (BMI), muscular strength, serum level of fat, IL-1, IL-15 were analyzed.Result: Both (HIIT) and (ATM) groups demonstrate a decreased in BMI, serum level of fat and a increased in muscular strength than correspondent level of control group. IL-1 showed decrease and IL-15 demonstrate significant increase in (ATM) group. Conclusion: our findings suggest that HIIT in hypoxia condition not only improve physicalperformance but also enhance the immune responses due to reduction of IL-1 and rising of IL- 15. Thus, it can be considered as a suitable alternative to time-consuming exercise.
