چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : providing materials and coatings that improve blood coagulation andwound healing to prevent mortality resulted from severe bleeding in accidents and wars are veryimportant. Methods : 60 rats were randomly assigned to one of six ten-animal groups. Of six experime ntgroups, four groups were treated by experiment wound dressings (chitosan polymer nanofibers, polylactic acid polymer nanofibers, chitosan-polylactic acid polymer nanofibers, and chitosanpolylacticacid polymer nanofibers combined with curcumin nanoparticle). Standard wounddressing was assigned to one group and one group was considered as control group which was nottreated with any wound dressing. To make active bleeding model, 5mm of rat tail was cuttransversely. After cutting, experiment wound dressing used for three minutes. After three minutes, experiment wound dressing was cleared and blotting operation was done by using filter paper. Thisprocess continued to the time that no blood was seen on paper after blotting. The time spent fromcutting to the end of bleeding was considered as bleeding time. Results : mean time of blood coagulation in non-treatment group was 56.2±2.23, in standardwound dressing was 33.8±1.64, in chitosan group was 28.5±2.29, in polylactic acid group was23.4±1.56, in chitosan-polylactic acid group was 19.7±3.2, and in chitosan-polylactic acidcombined with curcumin was 18.1±1.76. It was seen when examining the difference betweengroups that the difference was significant for all groups (p<0.001), except for chitosan-polylac t icacid group and chitosan-polylactic acid combined with curcumin group (p> 0.05).Conclusion : designed wound dressing have significant and positive effects to control bleedingwithout obvious allergic and dermal side effects and can decrease hemostasis time of bleeding arearesulted from trauma.
