Background and Aim : Emotional intelligence is critical to the success of individuals in healthcare organizations, and nurses with higher emotional intelligence can improve the quality of careand increase their satisfaction by communicating well with patients. Therefore, the present studyaimed to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence, general health, andcommunication skills in emergency department nurses of Taleghani Hospital.Methods : This research is of practical purpose. The target population includes all nurses in theemergency department of Taleghani Hospital (both sexes). Methods: This was a randomized,convenience sampling with 30 male and female nurses working in the emergency department ofAyatollah Taleghani Training Center in Kermanshah province. The Bar-On Emotional IntelligenceQuestionnaire (I-EQ) and General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) were used for evaluation.Inferential statistics part of Pearson correlation test and analysis of variance and finally dataanalysis was done by SPSS 16 software.Results : There was a significant and significant correlation between the three domains ofmindfulness and general health and the relationship with steam. There was no significa ntdifference in the components of gender, fitness, fitness and performance with emotionalintelligence and skills.Conclusion : Increasing emotional intelligence has a positive effect on nurses general health.Focusing on enhancing emotional intelligence can be an effective way to improve nurses communication skills and thus improve the quality of care and services provided by them. Nursingmanagers and administrators will increase nurses general health by promoting educational therapeutic sessions to increase their emotional intelligence and communication skills, which willincrease patients satisfaction with health care.
