بررسی میزان شکستگی فایل چرخشی neolix و فایل دستی K file در کانال مزیوباکال مولر اول ماگزیلا با انحنای متوسط

Background & Objective: One of the main goals of endodontics is to treat the root canal. The quality of filling and packing in endodontics highly depends on how the canal is prepared. This is performed by an instrument called file which has various systems and techniques. Shaping is an easy task is smooth and uncurved canals, but difficult in curved canals. This research aims to investigate the fracture of neolix rotary file and manual K-file in the mesiobuccal canal of maxillary first molar with medium curve.Materials & Methods: This study is of Exvivo type. Root curvature was measured by Schneider method and the preparation was performed in 2 groups of 30 by the rotary and manual files. In order to chek the fracture rate or files, a file was used until it would break or deform, and the number of canals cleaned by that file was recorded. The final data was entered into SPSS 21.Findings: The fracture rate in the rotary method was more than the K-file. The frequency of deformation in the K-file method was more than the rotary method. There was no statistically significant relationship between file type and frequency of fracture and deformation.Conclusion: The results of the present study show that rotary files have a greater mean fracture than manual files; however, this relationship is inversely related to the deformation of files.
