چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Numerous studies have proved the antibacterial effect of Propolis extract. Considering that basically, Nanoemulsions, in view of the distribution of the size of drops enjoy high synthetic stability, the research purpose was to compare the effectiveness of local consumption of Propolis Nanoemulsion Spray (PNES) and Propolis Alcoholic Extract (PAE) in healing open skin wound. Methods: This study has been an experimental study. For the test, 60 rats, healthy, Wistar race (200 to 250 gr) and age range of 3 to 4 months were divided randomly into 4 groups of 15 (negative control, first experimental, second experimental and positive control), and were controlled based on 4, 7 and 14 day periods. Initially, the rats were anesthetized with ketamine, hydrochloride calypsonian, Diazepam, Pentazocine, and were marked by a stencil, using Morton Malone procedure, and received a wound in 15mm dimensions. From the first day onwards, the surface of lesions in the experimental groups was covered once per day with extract of alcohol and Nano-emulsion of Propolis. The lesions of the control group did not receive any treatment. Measurement of the surface of the lesion through placing transparent sheet, drawing lesion and calculation of the percentage of improvement was performed, and also the lesions were studied histopathologically. Results: The result of repeated measure and analysis of variances showed that there is a significant difference between experimental and control groups in the number of Fibroblasts, Macrophages, Neutrophils and vessels, the wound surface and the percent of wound healing. The comparison of PNES and PAE showed that the effect of PNES is better than PAE.Conclusion: This research supports the acceleration of the wound healing process by local consumption of PNES in healing open skin wound. It seems the acceleration of the wound healing process by PNES can reduce the time of the patient’s immobilization, convalescence and also the cost of treatment
