چکیده مقاله:

Diabetes is one of the most common peripheral and infectious neuropathic diseases. These injuries eventually lead to sudden onset of foot involvement including congress and amputation and cause more than half of non-traumatic lower extremity amputations. Epidermal Growth Factor in Foot Wound Healing in Diabetic Population of West Azerbaijan ProvinceMethods and Materials: Our statistical population included 3 patients with diabetic foot ulcer who referred to Imam Khomeini Hospital in Urmia and 3 healthy individuals as control group in both groups with formalin saline and tic antibody treatment. Biotics were taken daily and wound healing was calculated based on the formula (100 at initial measurement / size after 30 days). The total duration of treatment was 30 days. Finally the data were analyzed by SPSS v.24.Results: The mean age of the patients was 53.17 2 1.2 years and in the control group was 51.19 1 1.7 years. There was a significant relationship between the mean rate of wound dependence in the patient group and the control group (OR=95% CL=99.8-18 OR=0.003). 9 patients had complete wound healing. In the patient group 54.19% voluntarily with less than 65% wound closure had neuropathy (P=0.005). Fasting blood glucose was lower than 140 mg/dl in 19 patients (P=0.19). In 8 patients with wound grade 1 and 2 and 21 with 3 and 20 males, It was observed with grade 4 ulcer. Conclusion: According to the results, epidermal growth factor improves the speed of wound healing in diabetic patients.
