چکیده مقاله:

Tooth pulp Stem cells are unspecialized cells that capable of both self-renewal and differentiation into multiple lineages. Easy extraction of the tooth which contains tooth pulp and absence of ethical issues have made the tooth pulp stem cell, a good option for stem cell saving. Different sources of tissue are in the oral cavity that from where stem cells can be isolated. But it is suggested to use mesenchymal stem cell since it exists in milk-tooth and can easily reached. So it is why mesenchymal stem cell is the best option between other oral tissues. Regenerative medicine is the process of creating living, functional tissues to repair or replace tissue or organ that their functions lost due to age, disease, damage, or congenital defects. This field holds the promise of regenerating damaged tissues and organs in the body by stimulating previously irreparable organs to heal themselves. With due attention to the important characters of tooth pulp stem cell, we are determined to critique the role of tooth pulp stem cell in regenerative medicine.Differentiation of tooth pulp stem cell to intended tissue also have some challenges that varies due to the tissue features. And it is required to add different additive in to its culture in different stages. Conclusion: possibility of storing the tooth pulp as a source of stem cell and its differentiation to variable tissues that any person may needs during his lifetime, makes them an interesting alternative for older methods. But some problems such as its difficult isolation from tooth and how to increase the duration of storages need further studies.
