FACTORS AFFECTING THE ABANDONMENT OF ADDICTION IN REFERENTS TO ADDICTION TREATMENT CLINICS IN SHIRAZ, 1398

Background and Aim : Nowadays, with the increasing spread of addiction, addiction treatment clinics have also increased. Identifying the factors influencing drug addiction and improving the performance of these centers is very important. Methods : This study is a cross-sectional descriptive-analytic study that was performed on 280 people who were referred to addiction treatment clinics. A questionnaire including individual, social, economic, family, type of substance, etc. was distributed among individuals and analyzed by spss.16 software after collecting data.Results : The results of this study indicate that 40.65% of women with an average age of 38.54 were. The age at which addiction was started was 20.54 and the duration of addiction was 18.43. 32.43% were addicted to industrial drugs. Also, there was a significant correlation between addiction and fear of being rejected by family (p = 0.002), fear of job loss (p = 0.001) and duration of addiction (p = 0.003). Among factors such as education level p = 0.006, marital status was not found to be 0.009 and p = 0.008.Conclusion : The results of this study indicate that family and social backgrounds play an important role in the quitting of addiction. So, given the importance of these factors, we need to do more research to improve the conditions
