Background and Aim : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of group-based spiritual intelligence training on the anxiety of offenders who are drug addicted to opiate. Methods : In a semi-experimental design (pre-test, post-test) with a control group, 200 offspring opiate detainees were discontinued. After initial screening, 45 offenders with high anxiety scores were selected randomly. The research consisted of two experimental groups and one control group. In the experimental group (n = 15) the spiritual intelligence training program was implemented in a group. The control group went through the routine of the crack. The severity of anxiety was assessed in two groups of pre-test and post-test (two months later) in each of the three groups. For data collection, Beck Anxiety Inventory was used and data were analyzed by covariance analysis. Results : Findings showed that spiritual intelligence training had a significant effect on decreasing scores at significant levels (P <0.001 and F = 12.463).Conclusion : The results of this study showed that spiritual intelligence training is effective in reducing the anxiety of offenders who are addicted to opioid drugs.
