چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Background: High-risk behaviors are a class of social and behavioral disorders whose prevalence is one of the most important factors threatening the physical and psychological health of the adolescents and the youth. They are also influenced by the attitude of the adolescents toward drug abuse. Nowadays, with the advent of e-learning, there is no need for a place and high cost for transferring data to the target groups, and learners can be educated everywhere. This study performed a comparative analysis of the effect of virtual education (mobile phone) and life skills education (face-to-face) on the attitude of high school students toward drug abuse. Methods : Methods: In this interventional study, mobile phone application under life skills model was used to teach the high school students. The case group was taught by mobile phone applications and the control group was taught through lecture. Finally, data were analyzed by SPSS (Version 22) software using descriptive statistics and t-test. Results : Results: The results showed no statistically significant difference between the case and control groups with respect to the mean cognitive, affective, and behavioral scores before intervention (p<0.05). After intervention, however, there was a significant difference between the case and control groups in terms of the mean cognitive, affective, and behavioral scores. The mean score was lower in the case group than the control group, indicating the higher efficacy of mobile phone educational applications than education via lecture (p> 0.05). Conclusion : Conclusion: One of the current educational methods is use of new technologies. Mobile phone is one of these powerful technologies that have been able to instill its position among different walks of life, especially students.
