Background and Aim : Social networks are among the most important communication tools in the present age. Individuals, especially young people, face confusion and anxiety in confronting these spaces.The present study is concerned with investigation of the use of virtual social networks with self-concept and body image in students as compared with University student.The present study is concerned with investigation of the use of virtual social networks with self-concept and body image in students as compared with University student.Methods : The design of this research is casual-comparative. 100 school students (50 females and 50 males) and 100 collegian (69 females and 31 males) were randomly selected. Required data were obtained using the Littleton Tone Image Questionnaire, Roger s Own Phenomenon, and Virtual and Social Networking Architects of Khodayari & et al. Variables of this research were used independent t-test, analysis regression and Spearman correlation coefficient that were compared and assessed in two groups.Results : Findings indicated that there is no significant difference between students and Students University regarding the amount of social network usage in general, but In terms of subscales the obvious, Amount of use, and negligence Students University were different from students. In addition, there was a negative and significant relationship between body image, body satisfaction and attitude toward weight with the use of social networks. In both groups, weak and negative self-concept was related to the amount of social network use. Conclusion : According to the results, students use social networks more than Students University and the use of the social network with the self-concept that individuals have and their attitudes towards their bodies, especially their negative assessments, are related to themselves.
