COMPARISON OF ADDICTION PREPARATION AND EMOTIONAL LONELINESS AND DIFFERENTIATION AMONG MALE AND FEMALE STUDENTS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY OF GORGAN IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020

Background and Aim : The difference between men and women in various aspects of drug use has been the subject of many researchers attention over the past two decades. Loneliness is a result of the emotional excitement that occurs before high-risk behaviors. Non-differentiated individuals who do not have a defined identity for themselves, experience high chronic anxiety and are prone to a variety of physical and psychological disorders. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the readiness of addiction and emotional solitude and differentiation among male and female students of physical education at Islamic Azad University of Gorgan during the academic year of 2019-2020.Methods : The research design was comparative causal. The study population consisted of 150 physical education students of Islamic Azad University of Gorgan during the academic year 2019-2020. Aged between 18 and 39, 75 male students and 75 female students were selected as sample through available sampling and volunteering; In order to study the variables of each participant s research on addiction preparedness questionnaire (APS) Zargar (2008), Questionnaire on Emotional Loneliness of Jokar and Salimi (2012) and Short Form of Rasool & Associates Differentiation Questionnaire (2016). Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 24 and Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression.Results : The results showed that there is a significant difference between the two groups and the component of readiness for addiction in the passive dimension, This means that men have scored more points in this regard. However, no significant difference was found in the active component of addiction preparation.Conclusion : The above findings mean that men are more likely to be depressed and not expressed in relation to the tendency to use drugs than women. The results of this study have practical implications for the prevention of addiction.
