چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : It seems that the increasing prevalence of addiction in women is due to several factors, such as family transformation, growth of divorce and single life, diminished social enormity of use of drugs in women and most importantly, what we are going to address in this paper, economic and social inequalities due to ignoring gender differences between women and men, which has led to a very poor female role in the formulation and implementation of laws and policies and also in the planning of various areas, such as fight with supply , demand reduction, harm reduction and treatment. The main goal of the present research is to provide a new outlook on the issue of women s addiction in Iran, raising awareness about the addiction prevalence increase and the need to develop preventive plans based on family and schoolMethods : This article is based on field research of the writer about the experience of women living with addiction and their individual and social life conditions before and after their exposure to drug. The research method used in this paper is the documentary method and use of Latin and Persian statistics and resources in librariesResults : The results of the surveys show that addiction in women is rising, in such a way that significant changes occurred in the age of onset of use, pattern of use, reasons for the onset of use, and female user statistics rise. according to Richard Wilkinson and Keith Pickett, the growing inequalities whether in advanced and industrial societies or in developing country are a very important factor in the prevalence of drug addiction in general, and particularly in women. Conclusion : According to Wilkinson and Pickett s theoretical view, in every country with high inequality levels, the prevalence of addiction is also higher; in poorer societies, where the average living standards are low compare to rich societies, health and social problems such as addiction are more common as well. Hence, the severity of social problems in unequal societies is far greater. Hence, increasing inequality in the community leads to increased social harms, such as addiction.
