چکیده مقاله:
Customarily Zinc phosphide poisoned bait has to be prepared on the field which is timeconsuming and hazardous to the users and the environment, hence ready-for-use zincphosphide baits (Samirat® 2%) was produced as wax pellets to overcome thesedifficulties. Samirat® efficacy was evaluated against rodents in West Azarbaijan andKerman provinces. Experiments were performed in RCBD with 5 treatments and fourreplicates. The results in West Azarbaijan show that 5 grams of Samira® with per-baiting for M. socialis with 84.69% showed the highest efficacy. However, in Kermanprovince the treatment of 10 grams and 5 grams Samirat® without pre-baiting for N.indica with 71.99% and for M. socialis with 71.41% showed maximum efficacyConsidering the acceptable efficacy and ready- for-use nature of Samirat® it is muchsafer, less hazardous and easier to use this new formulation than the commonly prepared zinc phosphide bait to control the rodent pests.
