Ethical dilemma and concerns for hypnotherapists

Hypnotherapy is probably among one of the most controversial forms of psychotherapies. One of the common concerns among professionals and the public as well is the potential transgression of professional ethical behaviors from hypnotherapists. However, few empirical studies have tried to explore the particular type and nature of ethical dilemma and concerns for hypnotherapists in their daily practice. The author will present the result of such a study of Chinese hypnotherapists and discuss the application and implication of this study on practice, training, supervision, and publicity of hypnotherapy
