The effect of cognitive behavioral therapy for menopausal symptoms after breast cancer treatment. A review

Introduction :breast cancer is the most commen cancer between women in all the world breast cancer may lead to an early onset menopause that can have some problems such as: hot flushing, night sweats, sleep problems, vaginal dryness, decreased libido, dysuria and urinary incontinence. Cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT) is a way to reduce stress it can make a connection between feelings, behaviors and thoughts. In this systematic review we gathered evidences about the effect of CBT for menopausal symptoms after breast cancer treatment. [1-4]Methods: : Embase , PubMed/Medline , Web of science , SID whit words(CBT, menopausal symptom, breast cancer) were systematically searched without any limitation on year and age until 2019 and after analysis experimental studies were includedResult: one of these studies reported that internet-based CBT can be a costeffectiveness way to reduction menopausal syptoms in patient whit breast cancer after treatment.Another one shows that CBT can be effective for menopausal symptoms since breast cancer diagnosis in every type of treatments like: adiotherapy orchemotherapy or endocrine treatment. Other studies reported some results like this:reducing emotional distress, improving quality of life etc. Conclusion: Related to present studies CBT can be a great way to help paients with breast cancer that are in danger of early menopausal symptoms but these studies are few so it is very important for research centers to allocate enough time and energy to more studing in this field.
