چکیده مقاله:
Purpose: To evaluate the result of Ahmed valve implantation with intraoperative subtenon injection of Mitomycin-C in refractory Glaucoma Methods: The records of 13 patients who retrospectively were undergone surgery of Ahmad valves Fp-7 with intraoperative subtenon injection of Mitomycin-C (0.1 ml / 0.2mg) were reviewed, and all patients were followed up for at least 3 months. The success of surgery was defined as 20% reduction in intraocular pressure with or without medication. Postoperative complications were also studied Results: In this study, intraocular pressure decreased significantly in 3 months after operation (P <0.05), and there were no significant changes in patients visual acuity before and after operation (P> 0.05). In this study, complications such as hypotony or thinned bleb were not seen Conclusion: In this study, intraoperative subtenon injection of Mitomycin-C in refractory Glaucoma reduced intraocular pressure significantly without critical complications
