چکیده مقاله:

Background German cockroach is one of the oldest and most common health pests of human places around the world, which causes many health problems in physical transmission, a variety of pathogens has a significant role. Excessive use of insecticides has caused resistance to these insects and has led to difficulty in control of them. Therefore, using nanotechnology to new formulations for pest control, can be a suitable solution for this problemes. Objectives: The aim of this study was to prepare nano cypermethrin and compare its effect with cypermethrin on German cockroach.Materials and Methods: Contact test with technical cypermethrin was performed by the method suggested by WHO on adult male German cockroaches. Calculatin of cypermethrin LC50 and initial amounts were obtained for the preparation of nanomulsion. Cypermethrin nanomulsion of oil in water (O/W), contaning olive oil, and tween and span surfactants was prepared at 4 different concentrations. Then, carbomer 934 1% was used to prepare the nanoemulsion gel. By this gel, contact test was done on adult male Germsn cockroach. LC50 was calculated that compare with the LC50 cypermeth test. The average particle size of the nanomulsion measured by DLS, was 65 nm and by TEM 5 nm.Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the nanocypermethrin on the German cockroach has a greater effect on the insecticide compared wih normal. The cypermethrin LC50 was about triple thims that of its nano form. In nano form, a reduced amount of cypermethrin is used, and this is the main advantage of using nano formulation as compared to normal.
