چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: Diabetes is a chronic disease and is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States and is associated with serious health consequences such as heart disease, blindness, kidney failure, and amputation. Diabetes can have negative effects on quality of life, one of which is Negative diabetic foot ulcers. Self-care foot training can help improve knowledge and prevent diabetic foot ulcers so all patients with diabetes mellitus should be aware of the problems associated with diabetic self. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of education on the knowledge of diabetic foot care patients Materials & Methods: The present study was a systematic review and articles were searched in Iranian and international databases PUBMED, SID, SCOPUSwith the keywords of education, self-care, knowledge and diabetic foot.The articles range from 2003 to 2011 years. After searching, 12 articles were selected based on the research criteria Results: Studies have shown the use of different types of interventions and the influence of various factors such as age, level of education and duration of sessions.Conclusion: Given the importance of the Orem model and the positive impact, it can have on patients quality of life, implementing a self-care model along with other conditions such as the type of training and the tools of effective education will significantly increase patients awareness.
