Background & purpose: The purpose of this study investigate The effect of treadmill running with consumption of 1,25 dihydroxy vitaminD3 on dopamine (DA) and tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) levels in Parkinsonian rats striatum.Materials & Methods: 48 rats(weight 276± 10g and age 12 week) were divided into 6 groups: control, sham, control Parkinson, exercise+Parkinson, vitaminD3+Parkinson, vitaminD3+esercise+Parkinson.exercise grupe: five days per week for 4 weeks during the light cycle. Rats were run twice per day at a speed of 15 m/min separated by at least 1 h; each running bout lasted 15 min for a total of 30 min per day. Parkinson supplement group in during study period received 1 µg/ml/kg VD3 intraperitoneally Two times per week. To induce Parkinson, 250 mg/kgIn volume 5m/l of 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) was administered into striatum by a stereotaxic apparatus. DA and TH levels in the striatum were measured by ELISA.Results: Alone-intensity exercisethe protocol presented in this study, not change dopamine levels (P≥0.05) and tyrosinehydroxylase (P≥0.05) compared to the control group. On the other, the supplementation VD3 alone levels of dopamine(p=0.018) and tyrosinehydroxylase (p=0.0001) to increase significantly and combining it with exercise could dopamine(p = 0.0001) and tyrosinehydroxylase(p = 0.0001) shows a significant increase.Conclusion: Our findings show that pre-treatment with treadmill runningand consumption supplement of 1,25dihydroxy vitamin D3 have a protective role against 6-OHDA induced toxicity.
