چکیده مقاله:

Background andObjectives: The members of the genus Acinetobacter are pandemic microorganisms. Acinetobacter baumannii is an important opportunistic pathogen with a high ability to obtain antimicrobial resistance. In this study, the frequency of OXA-48 gene and antibiotic resistance of clinical specimens in Strains isolated from burn wound infections in patients hospitalized in the ward of Erfan hospital in Tehran was performed. Materials and Methods: In this study, 23 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii were isolated from patients in the burn ward of Erfan Hospital and identified using biochemical tests. Antibiotic resistance pattern was determined by disk diffusion method. The genotype of OXA-48 gene was evaluated by PCR method and analyzed by SPSS23 software. Results: The highest resistance to antibiotics Amikacin and Ciprofloxacin (94%), Piperacillin+ Tazobactam (90%), Gentamicin and Aztreonam (86%) were observed. In genotypic study, 21 strains (91.31%) of OXA-48 gene were identified. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that Acinetobacter baumannii Strains are often resistant to antibiotics. Therefore, determination of drug resistance, appropriate drug selection and determination of gene-producing strains also identification of resistance genes should be considered.
