Design bucket chain elevator for transporting digging materials in Tohid tunnel

The aim of this paper is to establish the design process of a system for transporting digging materials in vertical direction in Tohid tunnel project (Tehran-Iran). A bucket chain elevator is a material handling equipment. It can elevate variety of bulk materials from light to heavy and from fine to large lumps. It consists of endless chain drive & on which metallic buckets are fixed. These bucket elevators capable to transport bulk materials in Tohid tunnel to out of it. Maximum speed of this bucket chain elevator is 50 cubic meter in a hours, six bucket chain elevators machine were setup in Tohid tunnel for increasing speed of transportation of material.
