چکیده مقاله:
A higher-order shear deformation theory (HSDT) is used for transient analysis of rectangular laminated plates. The applied load acts normal to the plate surface and may be of a general nature with respect to space and time variables. Equations of motion with required boundary conditions are derived by Hamilton s principle and dissipation of energy is modeled by viscous damping. The generalized differential quadrature (GDQ) method together with Newmark time integration scheme is employed to solve the system of equations. The formulation of problem allows direct application of various boundary conditions and particular interest of this study regards to plates with mixed boundary conditions. Two numerical examples are presented and transverse deflection of the plate is plotted.
