چکیده مقاله:

Subcooled flow boiling is one of the effective heat transfer form for internal combustion engines (ICE s) cooling systems. In this study, the effects of surface roughness on subcooled flow boiling in an inclined channel were investigated, experimentally. An experimental setup consisting of a Plexiglas channel was designed and fabricated. A cylindrical heater made of copper is located at the bottom surface of the channel, and pure water is used for the working fluid. The experimental results show that the surface roughness has negative effects on subcooled flow boiling heat transfer in the inclined channel. In other word, the subcooled flow boiling heat transfer decreases with increasing of the surface roughness in the inclined channel, in despite of surface roughness effects in horizontal channels.
