چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim: Breast cancer is the most common reported cancer in women. This type of cancer is the second leading cause of death from cancer in Persian women. Researchers have long emphasized that breast feeding has many benefits for mother and child. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between breast feeding and breast cancer in women. Matrrials and Methods: This search was conducted in databases pub med, google scholar, SID, Scopus, Magiran, Iran Medex with the keywords of breast cancer, women, breast feeding, and breast in the period 2000 to 2018. Related articles to the study based on entry criterial (the simultaneous presence of both variables of breast feeding and breast cancer in the summery of the study and the date of publication of the articles from 2000 to 2018 and the withdrawal (lack of access to the full text of the articles) by two researchers independently examined 68 articles, 36 articles were selected attar qualitative evaluation and used in the present study. Results: Breast cancer etiology is still unclear, and research into risk factors and preventive factors is still unclear. The results of various studies indicate that lactation for more than 6 months could prevent breast cancer. In a group of studies, there is a revers and significant relationship between the number of children and breast cancer. The problem that has been highlighted is that lactation can prevent breast cancer if it is a long lactation period otherwise if won’t have a special effect. Conclusion: Given the increasing trend of breast cancer in Iran and potential for many of it’s contributing factors, it is recommended that a curriculum be designed to encourage women to participate in screening cancers and women’s awareness of the benefits of lactation for the baby and the person themselves to help prevent breast cancer is very helpful.
