The study of fuel consumption in the public transportation sector and its solutions in the city of Damghan in 2017

Introduction: The issue of reducing consumption fuels, and hence the reduction of air pollution from fuel consumption, have always been considered by policymakers and since the study of fuel consumption has not been done so far, this study has been conducted with the purpose of studying fuel Consumption and its reduction strategies in Damghan city in 2017 was carried out.Methods: This is a descriptive - analytic study that focuses on fuel consumption, rate green space per capita, fuel efficiency reduction plans and other items included in the sub - objectives of the plan in the city of Damghan. Due to lack of standard questionnaire, than design the researcher - made questionnaire, the questionnaire and related questions were included in the questionnaire. Also analysis data was collected using Excel software.Results: In this study, the sales volume of gasoline in the city of Damghan in 1396 is about 190,000 daily liters and 69,350,000 liters were estimated annually, as well as sales of CNG gas in Damghan city in 1396 was calculated annually for 300,000 cubic meters. Also the total area of the green space in Damghan it is 24 hectares, which according to the population of Damghan (65,000 people), per capita green space per the person is 3.6 meters square. Conclusion: Considering the population of 4 times and the fuel consumption of 4/4 in Shahrood and Miami compared to Damghan, fuel consumption status in the city of Damghan has been well described. Also regarding the green space, considering the per capita amount of green space in Damghan city, the condition of green space is bad and very less than the standards.
