Kiln Energy management in Tile Industry (A case study: Firouzeh Tile Company of Mashhad)

Tile production industry contains a copious amount of waste materials and energies. However, the waste energies can be reconverted into energy or used directly. The aim of this paper is to present a simple equipment in order to reuse of waste thermal energy of kilns. To this end, production lines were investigated and potentials were determined. Then, according to production line characteristics, the new equipment was designed and installed in Firouzeh Tile Company of Mashhad. The results show that waste thermal energy of kilns can be reused for factory heating and economically is applicable. Also, it can diminish energy costs by 240567000 Rial.
