Relation Between Mental health and Hardiness in Veterans Wives of Alborz Province, Karaj

The purpose of this study was the relationship between religious commitment with hardiness and mental health determination in veterans wives of Karaj. The statistical population was included all veteran’s wives with 01- 01 percent degree of disability. Based on Morgan s table, 250 people by random sampling were selected and to examine the relationship between these indices Worthington s Religious Commitment Questionnaire, Kobasa Hardiness Questionnaire and mental health Questionnaire were used. The findings showed that there was a significant relationship between religious, hardiness and its components (challenge, control, commitment), also mental health and its components (physical symptoms, anxiety, social dysfunction and depression) (p<0.001). According to the results, the development of educational programsand the provision of counseling methods to the families and veteran’s wives is effective. Therefore, according to the results of this study, it can be concluded that by increasing the amount of religious commitment in the veteran’s wives, their mental health Can be increased.
