چکیده مقاله:

Flow competition is a common finding when arterial grafts are used for coronary artery disease. This phenomenon can then cause graft failure after CABG.Although saphenous veins are not subject to have occlusion due to competitive flow disturbance, but they have progressive atherosclerotic changes which decrease their patency rate. On the other hand, arterial grafts have excellent long term patently provided that they are used and selected properly with considering the role of flow hemodynamics in the graft function. These measures include selecting the most suitable type of graft material, selecting the best recipient coronary vessel position, and selecting the most proper sequence of grafts to lessen the chance of flow competition. We will review this very important subject comprehensively and share our experience with flow competition and methods to predict it.
