چکیده مقاله:

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is an extremely common form of vascular disease and impacts a great number of patients worldwide. Endovascular vein intervention and venous cannulation, among the most common medical procedures, has revolutionized the practice of phlebology. Proper selection of site and optimal technique will minimize the need for repeated attempts and complications. However, venous line access can be difficult, especially if the patient is obese and in the case of extreme edema. Multiple venipuncture attempts can heighten patient anxiety and suffering, delay vital treatment, and increase costs. This topic will discuss the options, performance, and complications of venous access during acute and chronic DVT intervention.
