چکیده مقاله:

Recently, the friction stir welding process is considered by researchers as one of the new processes in the welding of similar and dissimilar metals. In this study, dissimilar sheets of 6061-T6 and 7075-T6 aluminum alloys in size of 50 mm × 100 mm in thickness of 5mm, were friction stir welded. In this study, dissimilar sheets of 6061-T6 and 7075-T6 aluminum alloys in size of 50 mm × 100 mm in thickness of 5 mm, were friction stir welded in butt welding form. The welding process was performed using various parameters oftravel speed and rotational speed. In order to study mechanical properties, samples were prepared according to ASTM E8 standard and perpendicular to the weld line and tensile test was performed and also Vickers hardness profile was measured in the midsectionthickness of the samples. The results indicated that the best mechanical properties (yield strength of 103 MPa and tensile strength of 194 MPa) were reached at travel speed of 31.5 mm/min, and the rotational speed of 560 RPM and the highest hardness value (110 Vickers) reached at linear speed of 50 mm/min and rotational speed of 710 rpm.
