چکیده مقاله:

The new studies have indicated the potential of medicinal plants on the treatment of the cutaneous wound. The aim of the study was to survey the wound healing property of Sophora alopecuriodes L. aqueous extract ointment. Materials and Methods: In this study, 60 Sprague Dawley male rats were used. After creating the cutaneous wound, the animals were randomly divided into four groups, untreated control, treatment with Eucerin ointment, treatment with 3% tetracycline ointment, treatment with 3% S. alopecuriodes aqueous extract ointment (3 gr of S. alopecuriodes aqueous extract + 97 gr base ointment). At days 10, 20, and 30 after creating the wound, for biochemical and histopathological analysis of the cutaneous wound healing trend, a section was prepared from all dermal thicknesses. The data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA followed by Duncan post hoc test.Findings: S. alopecuriodes aqueous extract ointment could significantly (p<0.05) reduce the levels of the wound area, total cell, lymphocyte, neutrophil, and enhance the levels of wound contracture, hydroxyproline, hexosamine, and fibrocyte as compared to the basal ointment and control groups. Conclusion: The obtained results revealed the wound healing effect of S. alopecuriodes aqueous extract ointment
