Investigation of the Effect of Processing Method on the Nanostructure and Tensile Properties of (Polypropylene-Polyamide 6 Alloy)/Layered Silicate Nanocomposites

Numerous researches have been conducted with the aim of improving the mechanical properties of polypropylene-clay nanocomposites. In the current study, polyamide 6 was incorporated into the system, with different processing methods, in order to ameliorate the clay dispersion. Results show that full delamination of clay platelets can be achieved through following a specific processing route. In addition, this change in morphology has conspicuously beneficial effects on the mechanical properties
