Coastal Tourism Management and its Role in Sustainable Development

Coastal areas are manifestations of the complex and dynamic processes of natural, demographic and economic that are interconnected in a network of interactions. Today, the expansion of coastal tourism is one of the sources of income (along with other activities) of cities that can challenge sustainable urban development. Tourism with each of its branches, which is a kind of tourist attraction, can have positive and negative effects and consequences that environmental results are one of the most important of these consequences, which will dominate not only sustainable tourism and even sustainable development of the city and the region. Sustainable development in Iran is on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea that considered as a coastal tourism destination under the influence of coastal tourism activities and its environmental impacts. In this research, while exploring the concepts of tourism and sustainable development, the impacts and consequences of coastal tourism on sustainable development in this region have been investigated. The methodology of governing this research is a combination of library and documentary methods.
